The 3rd Gen GLX laser makes zeroing in your laser a quick and easy process; simply unscrew the protective W/E caps to access the finger adjustable turrets to move the laser dot up and down and left to right (and back). First words:Scary accurate. Held a 1", 5 shot group at 50 yards. Extremely bright during night, visible during day. It easy to see during the day on a target that is not in the direct rays of the sun. A sinch to calibrate/sight in. After going through 200 rounds on a ar-15, after sighting it in, it held zero perfectly. Well built aluminum construction, clear crisp beam. The pressure switch works great on a fore grip. Very impressed with this product. Was a little leery on how it would retain its zero on a ar-15, no doubts now. I would now recommend Barska laser sights to anyone looking to get a great laser for a great price.

This green Laser is very bright, but still can't be seen outdoors in the sunlight.
I am talking not at all. I thought I saw Barska advertise this laser is efective
at 50 yards in daylight and 1000 yards at night at the Barska web sight.
I went back to the web sight and see that the language is taken away/not there.
Well that is fine.
The Good
Mounts perfect on the rails, easy as 123.
Super bright indoors laser, very sharp
Windage and elevation adjustment is a dream
Has both a pressure switch or a push button switch configuration
Uses the CR-123A Battery
Built very solid, high quality aluminum.
The Bad:
Not suitable in bright sunlight, will have to try a cloudy day beacuse I was
able to see laser on a large platform less than 25 yards away that was in the shade.
I could not see the laser on a target only 25 yards away that was in the direct sunlight.
Other than that it would have been a 4 star product for me
other:
I wonder if there is a resonable priced laser that does work well in direct sunlight or is
that never going to happen due to the nature of lasers themselves.
This is a 3 and 1/2 stars review but can't do halves on here.

I bought this for my coyote hunting rifle, I wanted to sight it in for 100 yards and night hunting. I figured if I put the beam on them I sould be good for quite a many yards out.
The good,
It is much brighter than my red lasers and I can see it on a building over 1/2 a mile away. I can see the beam all they way to the target, awesome to see at night. The pressure switch has three points for contact so you will definitly turn the light on. I will have to wait to see how it holds up to actual hunting. The mount locks up tight and won't move, I like it. All tools needed are supplied. Company is in California.
The bad,
The beam at 100 yards is about the size of a softball. That is really too big for what I want to use it for. Out at 200 yards it would be too big to use at all. I will go out and do some tests but I was hoping for a tighter beam. The on/off switch tail cap has some issues, sometimes on, sometimes half on, and sometimes on full power. The momentary switch is the same until you set it just right so it is full power every time. Manufactured in China, so I dont know how strong this thing will be or how it will last.
UPDATE Mar 2012
These units DO NOT like cold, actually they don't even like cool weather. My safe is at about 60-65 degrees and when I pull it out the unit is so dim I can't see it more than the distance of my ceiling 5-6 feet. Take it outside in the real cold 30s to 40s and it won't even come on. I took it out to sight it in on a barely warm winter day and still had to stand about 50 feet or so to see it on white paper. I will have to wait till summer to be able to sight this unit in. If you want a laser to use to hunt coyotes year around get a better quality unit and spend some time looking around. Nothing I have seen on Amazon is of that quality.
As a side note, I have red lasers that my cats used to chase. When I pull them out to give them some exercise they chase it for a while and then lose interest. When I pull out this green laser they go nuts and chase it till the can't move. When I put it on the ceiling they climb up on the tallest thing they can find and stare at it chattering it is amazing to watch.
